Students Stranded in Ukraine Evacuated to Poland, Reported Pakistan’s Embassy in Ukraine
Russia’s military attack on Ukraine has stranded around 1500 Pakistanis. The number includes 500 students as well. Pakistani embassy in Ukraine has remained fully operational through out this chaos. Embassy also released emergency contact numbers on which people could contact whenever needed.
According to recent reports, 35 Pakistanis have been safely evacuated to Poland from Ukraine. One of the students reported that a train going from Poland to Ukrainian northeastern city of Kharkiv carried people who were fleeing Russian invasion. Pakistani embassy in Ukraine informed that they were actively working for the excavation of stranded individuals.
Sources have reported that arrangements are being made to bring students back to Pakistan safely. All the students are supposed to gather in Ternopil and reach Poland through land route from where they will be brought to Pakistan.
