A road towards sympathy and compassion instead of hate and enmity.

Since December 2019, whole world is struggling to cope with Corona virus that has engulfed the entire world population irrespective of their financial status, skin color or religious background. It has been fought relentlessly by all nations as per their resources but few state hit badly by this virus. Earlier, some were western countries including Italy and USA.

But now India has taken that place and has recorded highest number of Covid positive cases that were above 3 lac. In addition, India’s health care system is completely exhausted and oxygen cylinder availability for patients has annihilated along with shortage of ventilators and hospital staff which has left people die without any medical facility or treatment. Seeing the current state of India regarding it fight against Covid is heartwrenching.

Pakistan, its arch rival is also worried owing to this overwhelming situation and despite of getting rejoice by the Indian government failure of dealing this virus, Pakistani government and masses are concerned over this issue. As we can see through twitter top trend on Saturday which was “Pakistan Stand With India” which was initiated and shared by Pakistani public out of sympathy towards their neighbouring country while keeping political difference aside and allowing humanity to prevail in this difficult time.

Our welfare organizations have also landed their helping hand as Faisal Edhi- owner of Edhi foundation wrote a letter to “Narendar Modi” in order to get permission to send fleet of 50 ambulances with well equipped staff to assist Indian health department at this time.

Along with that, our Prime Minister- Imran Khan- also tweeted over India fight against Covid-19 and reminded them that Pakistan stand with people of India in this challenging time. Through this event we can learn a lesson which arise from the fact that both countries claim to be at loggerhead along with political figures and armed forces threaten eachother to cause wreckage on opposite side but when natural calamities and unfortune things happen, both sides offer olive branch by offering assistance of any kind- either it is APS attack in Peshawar or Covid deadly wave in India- public and leaders dont get hesitant to come forward to provide support to its neighbours.

Recent act of humanity from Pakistan represent the positive and soft side of this nation which is based on sympathy and respect instead of hate and enmity which is being observed in every needy moment. So, both countries rulers should forged their relation on the basis of these traits that are common among both nations and bring people together instead of igniting ill feeling and fostering animosity among public and this should be the real victory for both of the countries instead of investing on weapons and using public tax money over vague tactics.
